Quarantine is weaving a new narrative for everyone. A modified temporal space, the one created by the Covid-19 pandemic. It feels like we're standing before a curtain, which, with the lights off, creates a visionary set. Social relationships are in the throes of deconstruction . The world is no longer in balance. Coronavirus pneumonia is rewriting society on a wave of fear, anxiety, and above all, fragility . It's a delicate moment. We will need to discover new adaptive skills. Become resilient and generative at the same time.

A reflection that sheds light on an anthropological model destined to change. A structure that for decades has placed the centrality of human contact, reinforced by free gestures, today appears upside down. A fabric that moves like a ghost, groping in the dark. The world fearfully peers out the same window, watching each other from afar. Social distancing is the dimension everyone praises. Bringing our bodies close to each other is forbidden. The embrace, a simple act of affectionate description, becomes a weapon. The spontaneous communication of affection and benevolence is now impeded . Opening our arms to feel the body of someone we love, moving our limbs together, is a forbidden attitude. An invisible enemy has ferociously appeared in our lives, upending a daily routine that perhaps no one recognized anymore, in its special perfection.

The obvious was taking over. Human dynamics had become a shell of constant emotional exploration . The essential, already magnificent in itself, was being dispersed, and an incessant refuge in the superfluous seemed to lead to a rediscovery of excitement. Covid-19 abruptly forced a U-turn, and perhaps from this vantage point, the dangerous pandemic becomes a warning to rediscover sensorial beauty . A structural duplicity is spreading throughout global society. The invisible virus appears in the imagination, like a face with an open mouth, sowing fear. Reality, however, tries to grasp the opportunity for self-analysis.

The world is united by the same hope . That of successfully fighting a pathogen that is rewriting our lives. Recognizing its limitations, reevaluating its potential. The opportunity to improve the environment we inhabit, in a principle of balanced coexistence with every living being on the planet. Yet disparate political, social, and economic choices are creating divisions and fierce rivalries. Governments are being detonated by growing segmentation.

And human scale cries out in a surreal atmosphere . Cities appear deserted, the silence of urban functionality making noise. Monuments are the only marvelous trace of life. Yet they too seem eager for admiration and artistic criticism. A look at nature is the astonishing response. Its lungs pulsate with vitality. The seas have quickly transformed into splendid lagoons. The beaches are populated by delightful marine creatures that calmly enjoy their own space. Turtles nesting, seahorses dancing independently. Dolphins playing, represent a widespread image. With it, a leap into hope, giving us patience and optimism. The courage to be strong, to promise ourselves a new way of communicating, and to remain united with the universe, which stages a natural spectacle. The beauty of the planet is the other side of the coronavirus.

Coronavirus tells of a new world

But what is happening to human nature? Evolved beings, endowed with every intellectual efficiency, the possessors of perfection, are faltering in a state of aberrant difficulty. Faces covered by surgical masks scrutinize each other with suspicion. Latex gloves that add protection to the sense of touch intensify the new human and social description. Relational change is underway. Where have the smiles gone? The greetings expressed with warm hugs?! The eyes become the sole interpreters of our emotions. The interior is protected, and the gaze is the only naked part to which we can offer the opportunity to express ourselves. Eyes that speak of depth. Tired eyes, the fearful ones. The eyes of those who would like to escape. Those that express the fear of contact. The eyes of those who have lost their jobs, of those who can't make it. The eyes of those who must start over. "The eyes are the mirror of the soul." We've been hearing it for a long time, even in proverbial form. An organ so sensitive in its structure, yet so tenacious, that it absorbs the capacity to receive impulses from the outside. This is how they have learned to reflect the interior. Every conditioning factor from the environment is absorbed.

Through the eyes , we describe the soul. How troubled it is by this scenario, which seems almost supernatural. The virus has, in fact, also redefined the bond with faith. A further branch of sociological observation, which we will now describe. The Covid-19 pandemic is conceived as an event that transcends religious structures. Its spread cannot be answered through the latter, and for this reason, it sets in motion a kind of ups and downs of opinion that conflict with its identification. The resulting deepening puts a severe test on the possibility of defining a common opinion. The coronavirus remains shrouded in questions that will not find unanimous answers, sparking conflicting opinions in multiple spheres. Almost like a scale, which will increasingly tip to one side, never finding equilibrium in the middle.
