Sociologicamente was founded in March 2015 as an independent blog, born from the meeting of students and scholars united by a common goal: to observe the present through a sociological lens. Over time, that initial project has grown, transforming into a registered journal and a cultural space open to writing, analysis, and dissemination of social sciences.
Today, Sociologicamente is an open sociological writing laboratory , a place where different ideas, languages, and perspectives converge to explore contemporary complexity. Not just information, but a critical interpretation of the social, cultural, political, and communicative phenomena that permeate everyday life.
We believe that sociology shouldn't be confined to academic circles. Therefore, we strive to create content that combines analytical depth and accessibility, maintaining a rigorous yet comprehensible approach, critical yet open to dialogue.
Sociologically, it is based on the idea that every phenomenon can be interpreted as a " social fact , " in the sense suggested by Émile Durkheim : something that arises within society, reflects its tensions, and contributes to its transformation. From current events to culture, from work to communication, from deviance to digital media, every topic can become an opportunity for collective reflection.
MISSION
The mission is to develop sociological awareness, stimulate critical thinking, and offer interpretative tools for understanding the contemporary world. If for Walt Disney the goal was " to make people happy ," for Sociologicamente it is " to make people conscious ."
VISION
We imagine a society in which sociology regains a central role in public, educational, and cultural spaces. A discipline capable of transcending the university to engage with schools, communities, organizations, the media, and communities.
In other words: bringing sociology back to society.
